Pipe Organ Nears Completion:
St. Paul purchased a pipe organ from a sister congregation in Tampa, also named St. Paul, in 1987. Pastor Curtis led the
effort to purchase and restore the organ until an injury prevented him from completing the project. Over the years,
members have worked on the organ with long periods of inactivity in between. Last year, the congregation made
the difficult decision to sell the organ without ever completing it or hearing it played in our church because we didn't
have the expertise to finish it. When new information surfaced, the congregation decided to move forward and
finish what we had started all those years ago. With help from Wes Philip of Grace Lutheran Church, Melbourne Beach, and
and members from St. Paul, the organ is finished. Damage sustained during the hurricanes of 2004 has also been
repaired although we have an occasional sticky key to work out.
